Disclosure: Style, Decor & More received a test kit for review purposes only. All opinions are 100% my own. This test is not a substitute for medical help.

Do you know that there are foods and drinks that can trigger a variety of symptoms for some and not for others? Each of us is unique and as science opens the door to learning more about our bodies, it only makes sense to want to learn what could be causing symptoms such as headaches, migraines, bloating, runny nose, irritable bowel, and stomach ache, to name a few. All symptoms of food and drink sensitivities.
Wouldn't you love to know if there are any foods and/or drinks your body may be sensitive to? The YorkTest Food&DrinkScan Premium test kit is a good place to start! The food and drink intolerance test can possibly help you discover which foods and/or drinks could be triggering your symptoms.
What I love about the Food&DrinkScan Premium test kit is that it gives YOU more knowledge about YOUR body so that YOU can make smarter and better choices when it comes to the foods and drinks you consume. It is nice to know that the Food&DrinkScan kit can help you better understand how YOUR body responds to a variety of foods and drinks.
The YorkTest Laboratories Food&Drink Scan Premium at-home test measures your body's IgG antibody response to 208 foods and drinks to help provide guidance on what foods may be best to choose for an elimination diet. The test kit also includes two 30-minute nutritional consultations with a Nutritional Therapist who offers advice and answers any questions you may have.
The test kit provides step-by-step instructions which are super easy to follow. Trust me, the hardest thing will be the anticipation of pricking your finger and then you realize it wasn't a big deal. The instructions provide tips for encouraging blood flow and I had no issues with collecting the amount of blood required for the test.
xoxo,
Please note: This is a food and drink intolerance test. If you suffer classic allergy reactions to any of these foods and drinks please do not consume them. Your test results are not a substitute for medical help. The test will not identify all the different types of food sensitivity (such as lactose intolerance), and it is not diagnostic of coeliac disease. If chronic symptoms do not improve significantly over the next few weeks, contact your doctor. Changes should not be made to children's diets without first consulting a doctor.
I've been having labs done but never considered a food sensitivity test. This might just be the problem I'm having.
ReplyDeleteHi Tami, My daughter was having stomach issues about a year ago and the doctor did a workup on her, too. Finally, I asked if they could do a intolerance test and the doctor wasn't crazy about it because she said they are not always accurate. I responded "If she's lactose intolerant, I don't want to give her almond milk and find out she is intolerant of nuts, too." The doctor ordered the test. lol It's nice to have something to work with and I can't wait to get my results.

I would love to have everything possible tested! I really want this sensitivity testing done though.
ReplyDeleteHi Rachel, I was looking over the food and drinks on the sensitivity list and it is extensive. What impressed me was a list of different grapes - Malbec, merlot, chardonnay, etc.
DeleteI can't wait to get my results! Thanks for stopping by!
This sounds great! I think we all need to try this so we can be sure about our health.
ReplyDeleteHi Ruth, I agree. It simply makes sense to stay away from foods and drinks that don't agree with our bodies.
DeleteI'm anxiously looking forward to my results!

This is great to hear about. I'll have to get one of these too. I'd love to see what it would say about me.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy, I can't wait to get my results back from the test!

The kit would offer convenience because you don't have to ask for an appointment to have the tests done. However, my worry is the viability of the blood sample. How long would it take for them to receive it if it will be mailed to them? I will have to read more about this.
ReplyDeleteHi Kristine,
ReplyDeleteIt is placed in a sealed tube and they do ask that you fully saturate the wand. So, I would say it is viable when they receive it. When I did my DNA test, I used a bit of saliva and it was very accurate. All my cousins showed up on my list of possible relatives. I have a pretty good idea of one drink item I can't tolerate (headaches), so we'll see if it shows up on the test. If it does, I'll know it was a viable specimen! :)
