Beauty Report: You Don't Have To Wait For The Holidays To Sparkle And Shine

There is nothing quite like receiving a package from Pixi in the mail. The shimmery boxes make you feel like a child opening gifts on Christmas day, but then that's only the beginning. Even better is opening and sampling the cruelty-free cosmetics inside!  

This month's Pixi package contains Liquid Fairy Lights, an ultra-sparkling liquid eyeshadow with 3D effect to wear solo or on top of any eye look, and Glow-y Gossamer creamy powder blushes that create a lit-from-within luminosity.

Sparkle eyeshadows have come a long way from grade school days. Adults can pull off the latest glitter trend at any age and at any time of the year. The sparkle trend is to wear it everywhere, anytime. The rules are there are no rules. You can wear how much or how little sparkle you want. Whether you prefer a soft sparkle highlight on the inner corner of your eyes or bold bedazzling eyes, the look is up to you! One thing is for sure, you will shine brighter than a diamond with Pixi's ultra-dazzling Liquid Fairy Lights and Glow-y Gossamer blushes!

Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights formula instantly lights up the eyes with shimmering sparkle. The staying power of PassionLight, RoseGold, and BareBrilliance is impressive, however, the SunRay and Crystalline shades didn't last quite as long as the deeper pigmented shades. All shades had very little fallout and the few stray glitter sparkles on the face could have been the result of touching the face to remove hair away from the eyes.

The only downside to sparkle eyeshadows is they can be messy to remove at the end of the day. The best plan of attack is to use cotton pads with eye makeup remover and wipe gently. You may need to repeat the first step a few times depending on the amount of application. Remove as much of the glitter shadow as possible before following up with a gentle facial wash and rinsing well with water.

The Pixi Glow-y Gossamer Duo highlighters are creamy in texture and look natural in any light. Subtle Sunrise (left) and Delicate Dew (right) are super silky and add a touch of glow to cheek and brow bones. The photos don't capture the gorgeous luminosity or golden glow of the soft pigmented, vitamin and diamond powder-infused shades. 

The finished result is a gorgeous, shimmery look that lasts for hours resisting cracking and smudging throughout the day with minimal glitter transfer and fallout.
