Lending Luxury: The Secret to Looking Like a Million Dollars

Several weeks ago, my husband and I were invited to a black-tie optional gala, which for women, means you have the option of wearing a full-length gown or a cocktail dress with a longer hemline. My friends who were also attending the gala said they would be wearing full-length gowns. I'm soooo glad I did. They provided me with the measurements of the first dress that caught my eye and, as I suspected, the length was way too long. Hem tape is always an option, but unfortunately, this particular dress was white and the hem tape would most likely have show through the sheer fabric of the dress.

The customer support team was kind enough to send me links to full-length dresses that were on the shorter side and also available in my size. They also suggested a few dresses that work well using hem tape, or I could have it altered at an extra charge. Out of the all the dresses they suggested, I was instantly drawn to this stunning navy & silver mermaid gown by Jasz Couture. It has a retail value of $395 and is available to rent for $95.
