My daughter has been away at college for the last several months and needless to say, I can't wait to have her home. There really is no place like home and making her homecomings as warm and welcoming as possible is always a goal of mine. Whether it is her favorite cooked meal or simply freshening her sheets, I do my best to make her feel special.

The last time my daughter came home from school she mentioned that she felt springs in her mattress! Ugh...I had no idea her mattress was failing and as much as I dread the thought of shopping for a mattress, my daughter's comfort comes first. So, my hunt for the perfect mattress began...

Upstairs she goes! Note: Because the mattress may be cumbersome for one person, I would suggest two people move it to the bedroom. Still, far easier than trying to get a conventional mattress up the stairs and through hallways of most homes.

After slipping off the blue cover, there is a nice zip-up bag with straps inside. The extra layer and inner plastic wrap keep your bed well protected and clean during transit. Now it is time to unzip the mattress, remove the plastic wrap with the special cutting tool provided, and roll out the bed. That's it!

'Rest assured' NECTAR mattresses are CertiPUR-US Certified. While researching mattresses, I noted some people detected an odor when they first removed their bed from the vacuum seal wrap. I didn't smell it, but my son said it had a new car smell. A few days later I asked him if he smelled anything, and he did not.  When my daughter came home for Thanksgiving break, she did not smell anything. In fact, I woke her at 11:00 a.m. the next day because I couldn't stand the suspense any longer. "Did you sleep well?", I asked. A groggy voice replied, "Yes! This bed is amazing!" That was music to my ears. I am soooo happy that she loves the bed as much as I do.  

I'm WOWED! While my daughter is away at school, I'm enjoying the bed. It is seriously very hard to go back to my spring bed after experiencing the NECTAR mattress. The no motion transfer is wonderful! This means if you are sleeping with an adorable four-legged fur baby or a significant other, you will not feel their movement. While I wouldn't recommend trying it at home, I am confident that if the mattress were on a solid, sturdy surface, you could jump on the bed without drink spillage.

In summary, I couldn't be happier with the NECTAR mattress. It is ultra comfy, soft, yet firm enough to support the back and neck. This allows me to sleep more comfortably and wake up feeling rested and refreshed. The free pillows are amazing, too! They have the same cool gel quilting as the mattress.
