Clinique: Clean, Clear & Chic

By Katie Gray

Clinique offers a variety of skin care products and cosmetics. The brand was founded in 1968, and is sold in high end department stores and is available online. Clinique is a subsidiary of the Estée Lauder Company, and the headquarters are in New York City. The products are well made – very good quality. In 1967, Vogue, published an article “Can Great Skin Be Created?” that was written by the beauty editor Carol Phillips with Norman Orentreich. They discussed the importance of a skin care routine. This prompted the Lauder family to create Clinique, with the help of Phillips and Orentreich. The line is allergy tested, dermatologist tested, and is healthy for the skin. They are big into researching and testing products and ingredients. (This is why they are known for their signature white lab coat!)

Clinique makes skin clear, clean and chic. The skin becomes smooth and soft, with this custom fit routine. To have skin that is glowing, these products really do work. Clinique’s skin care system is the method and products that revolutionized the skin care industry and solidified the brand as a top leader in the skin care industry. In August of 1968, Clinique premiered as the world’s first allergy tested, dermatologist driven, line available at Saks Fifth Avenue. Clinique was a pioneer of skin care products, and for decades it has been working for people all around the world.

Clinique has an amazing step by step skin care line. It leaves skin clean, clear and chic. It is proven that skin is healthy and hydrated, when you have a specific skin care routine. By following a skin care regimen, your skin will look and feel its best. Clinique believes in:
Step 1: Cleanse
Step 2: Exfoliate
Step 3: Moisturize
  1. Liquid Facial Soap: First, you need to cleanse and clean your face. This non-drying formula leaves the skin feeling fresh, clean and comfortable. It doesn’t irritate the skin, the ingredients are gentle.

  2. Clarifying Lotion: The next step is to exfoliate. This toner sweeps away pollution, excess oil and dry flakes, to reveal fresher skin. Exfoliation is the key to healthy skin.

  3. Moisturizing Lotion: The final step is to moisturize! This keeps the skin hydrated and healthy. The moisturizier gives skin the drink it needs to maintain optimal moisture balance. It will leave your skin feeling dramatically different, and dramatically better.

  4. Exfoliate Scrub Cream: This rinse-off formula is a face scrub cream that can be used to deep clean your pores. It completely exfoliates your face and replenishes it back to good health. Sometimes skin gets dry, oily, and can have blemishes - due to weather, hormone, genetic, conditions. These factors are out of our control, and they are a natural part of life. With these fantastic crafted skin care products, the skin is able to reach and maintain, its greatest potential.
