Luxurious Lips: 13 Must Have Lip Products

Lipstick never goes out of style. There are so many fun shades of colors to try! There are so many different types of lip products, too. There are mattes, crèmes, sheens, shimmers, lip-gloss, lip plumper, lip conditioner, lip balm, and so on. Your choice of lip shade can complement your outfit nicely, an accessory in its own right. It can brighten the day with a pop of color, make a bold statement, look naturally chic, create old Hollywood glam and add sparkle with shimmer lip-glosses. 

For the best classic shade of red, MAC’s ‘Russian Red’ is perfect. (Superstar Taylor Swift uses it to achieve her classic red look!) To have red lips with a shine, Lancôme’s ‘Red Stiletto’ is the way to go. Lipstick mattes are trendy because they go on like a gloss, nice and smooth, while staying in place like a matte. Kat Von D has the best lipstick mattes. Her shades, ‘Lolita’ and ‘Bow N Arrow’ are all the rage. Sephora constantly has to stock up on them because they sell out fast. In my celebrity interview with Nicole Williams, she shared with me that ‘Bow N Arrow’ is one of her favorite lip shades, which she always carries in her purse. Kylie Jenner, of Keeping Up With The Kardashians fame, has a popular line of Kylie Lip Kits that are great. They last a long time and the colors are fun. She came out with some luscious lip-glosses too, that are sexy and sleek. 


Marc Jacobs offers pretty colors that are reminiscent of flowers. TOPSHOP and NARS offer the best lip crayons and lipstick pencils. For the most luxurious lipsticks, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Estée Lauder and Lancôme are the best choices. Lancôme also offers a line of juicy tubes, lip-glosses, and the one in ‘Dot Apricot’ is divine. For decades, MAC lip products have been makeup artist’s top choice for lipsticks. They have so many lipstick shades and types, and they all work wonderfully. MAC lip products are also a celebrity favorite. Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga, of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey – love MAC products and frequently wear them during their interviews on the show. (There is a dark, bold, purple shade Melissa Gorga rocks in an interview called ‘Cyber’ that is a must-have. When you need to be fierce, that is the shade to do it!) Reality star, Kim Kardashian, has also been said to love the shade ‘Angel’ – which is a pretty pale pink shade. MAC also offers a bunch of limited edition lines that are always cool. When Angelina Jolie’s movie with Disney, ‘Maleficent’ was out, they had an entire ‘Maleficent’ line and it was used in the movie. A fairytale for your lips, dreams do come true. Bare Minerals released a popular lip-gloss matte lipstick, in ‘Slay.’ The shade was so popular last summer, it was selling out all of the time. To this day, it’s still a popular choice for makeup lovers everywhere.

Bare Minerals has a moxie line of lip-glosses too, that add some plump to lips and help achieve the perfect pout. Mary Kay has a nice line of lipsticks that glide on smoothly, with pretty colors. ‘Whipped Berries’ is a must! Recently, Victoria’s Secret launched a line of lip mattes. The red and nude shades are amazing. Those are definitely recommended to complete your bombshell angel look! NYX has some great lipstick shades, they apply smoothly and bring a burst of color. Lip balms and lip conditioners are always needed to hydrate your lips! Brands like EOS, Nivea and Burt’s Bees are great for that.
