The beloved facial peel has just received a rather polished makeover. For many women, facial peels have become a vital part of transforming their skin and rejuvenating the natural beauty that lies underneath. I like to think of it as deep cleaning for your face. But now Pixi Beauty has taken it one step further when they unveiled their new Pixi Skintreat called Peel & Polish!
Peel & Polish takes facial peeling to a whole new level in that it's gentle on the skin. I've had peels in the past that were waaaay to strong and, as somebody with very sensitive skin, I was surprised to find Peel & Polish did not irritate my skin at all. However, with that said, I didn't keep it on for the full two minute maximum time suggested in the instructions. I think I could have, but you know what they say..."Once bitten. Twice shy." That's me, alright! Right now, I am happy with the results I'm seeing with keeping Peel & Polish on my skin for one full minute.
Peel & Polish's radiance revealing enzyme peel leaves skin smoother, softer and glowing. Its skin-loving ingredients include lactic acid, papaya fruit extract, and sugar cane extract formulated to give professional-like results right in the privacy of your own home.
The peel process is a skin treatment in which an acid solution is used to remove the outer layers of skin. It can effectively improve skin tone, texture & pigmentation, while diminishing wrinkles and blemishes. When you remove old skin it opens pores and minimizes acne by unclogging pores. Skin looks more youthful and moisturizers can seep deeper into the skin, too. I use it three times a week, but can't stress enough to know and listen to your skin. Depending on the sensitivity, you may be able to use it more often, or perhaps, less.
I would highly recommend this peel for the look and feel of a spa facial. My face feels incredibly soft and smooth after using it and appears more youthful looking and bright.
The Pixi Beauty line of cruelty-free cosmetics and skin care products ranges from $8 to $34. You can find their products at their LA boutique, or at Pixi Beauty and Target online. Target stores carry select Pixi Beauty products as well.
Pixi Beauty was kind enough to send two extra Peel & Polish packages to do with what I wish. I thought it would be fun to have a giveaway. Since I am covering shipping expenses, I will need to limit entries to contiguous U.S. mailing addresses only. For my Canadian readers, feel free to enter and have your prize shipped to a friend in the states. 😉 There will be two (2) winners and each winner will receive a Pixi Beauty Peel & Polish worth $24.

ReplyDeleteHi Ladonna,
DeleteOh...Definitely check out Pixi Beauty products the next time you are at Target. They just opened a stunning boutique in LA and are very popular in London. I'm Pixi-obsessed!

I know i have used some of Pixi's line but never the skin care. I am trying to find a nice new skin routine since my face is getting older...ugh. Maybe this is a good option for me. Will try it!
ReplyDeleteHi Censie, You're not old, but it is never too early to start with a good skincare regimen. The Peel & Polish is nice because it will allow whatever moisturizers and serums you use, to seep into your skin better.

I love peels, just the feeling of the impurities coming off my face like a mask, make me so happy. I have seen those black painful masks and I am afraid, but this one here looks like something my skin needs
ReplyDeleteHi Monica,
DeleteYes, Pixi's Peel & Polish is gentle, yet effective, on my skin. I agree, the black masks look painfully scary. :)
Thanks so much for stopping by!
My favorite is Pixi Glowtonic

I have not tried Pixi Beauty products but am excited to soon. I have been wanting to try a facial peel but I was always afraid of harming my skin. Leaving it on one minute will probably be my method at first.

ReplyDeleteI love facial Peels. I find the act of peeling it off my face so satisfying. I have sensitive skin like you though, so I like that this is nice and gentle.
ReplyDeleteI haven't actually done a facial peel myself. Although I can see how getting rid of all of the dead skin so the living skin underneath has a chance to flourish is probably a great idea. I definitely can understand what you mean by deep cleaning in that instance.
ReplyDeleteThis one I really would love to try. I tell you what, between afternoons in the garden and lots of water-walking at the pool .. my skin is in desperate need of some TLC. Plus, I've never tried anything outside of a different moisturizer .. so I'm really excited!
ReplyDeleteHi Alison, We all good use a little extra pampering, huh?
DeleteThank you so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!

I have seen this brand at Target. I actually received one of their lip colors in a Birchbox a few years ago. Good to know that you have sensitive skin, as I do too. I am always very cautious about trying new products on my face for that reason. A good spa-like peel for a fraction of the price sounds awesome. I might have to grab this!
ReplyDeleteHi Crystal, Yes, I love the Pixi brand. They're cruelty free, too!
