Perhaps bigger than the lineup of bands, is what are people wearing. Thanks to Coachella, festival wear has now become a bona fide fashion season that lets you embrace the boho vibe and set your inner hippie free.
To capture your own free-spirited style, we've rounded up six essentials that will help you easily put together your own boho ensemble.
Fashion tip: Shop flea markets and antique stores for one-of-a-kind statement jewelry.
2. Capri Jeans. Shorts may be fine during the day, but once the sun goes down, temperatures drop quickly. A comfy pair of capris transition your look from day to night, and are the best way to show off your favorite boots and elongate your legs at the same time. I'm obsessed with my Liverpool Jeans because they are super-soft and offer a bit of stretch for incredible comfort and fit! They feel like yoga pants, but have the look of a classic pair of jeans. LOVE! Find Liverpool Jeans online at select Nordstrom and Dillard's stores.
What makes Liverpool Jeans stand out in the crowd? It's their meticulous attention to detail. A closer look at the photo below reveals custom-stamped rivets, labels, and a stud button.
You will want a pair of jeans that look good, feel good, and are made to last. Liverpool's high-quality denim jeans are all this a more - a must-have fashion staple for festival fashion and every day.
3. Ankle Boots. As much as I love the look of my suede fringed sandals, I wouldn't suggest wearing them to a music festival. Walking and dancing on dusty or muddy terrains is not fun at all, and if you want to be feeling the good vibes, don a pair of ankle boots.
4. Fringe Garb. No boho look is complete without at least one fringe accessory such as a handbag, ankle boots, or a suede jacket. The lush cascades of fringe create a chic movement effect that catches the eye for an effortless, playful look.
5. Classic Denim Jacket. You can't go wrong with a classic denim jacket that is authentically chic like a broken-in pair of jeans. A must-have for cool desert nights.
6. Sunglasses. There's no need to shell out a lot of money for a pair of designer sunnies. They can easily get lost or damaged and simply isn't worth it. Find a fun and fashionable pair of specs for far less at a local retail store. Just make sure they offer UVA/UVB protection.
Wear comfortable shoes and clothing, and don't be afraid to try something new! Sometimes it’s easy to forget the festivals are about having fun, enjoying music and making memories. An outfit should never get in the way of a good time and who knows, you may start the next festival trend.
Have fun and don't forget your sunscreen!

My two favorites are statement jewelry and sunglasses. I'm never short on either one of those.
ReplyDeleteThat classic VW bug in your picture is awesome! Is that your car? Nice looks you are showing off in this post. Thumbs up!

ReplyDeleteI'm not big into festivals but I do love festival attire. Its such a casual carefree type of look.
ReplyDeleteLove these items! I've been to a few festivals and I love seeing everyones individual style!
ReplyDeleteI'm not headed to a festival anytime soon, but I would rock so many of these cute outfits and accessories simply out on a date night or while chasing my kids around at the playground!
ReplyDeleteWe have a few festivals going around the city this time of year. Thanks for the tips. Will have to check on those statement jewelry.
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be better flexibility during spring festivals than later in the season, when clothing seems to have to serve a purpose primarily of keeping us cool and protected by the sun! I'm a guy without a lot of fashion savvy, but I do notice things like unique accessories and great jeans when I see them on women. I love the concept of creating "boho drama" too. Good stuff.
ReplyDeleteI'd love a pair of those jeans to rock while going to fun festivals. I LOVE festivals! there's so much to look at and buy and eat and well the list goes on...
ReplyDeleteGreat style : )
These jeans are so great! I love how well they are made. And that outfit you chose is just spot on for the boho look!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome. It's good to have all the things that you need before you attend a music festival! I think these are definitely what you need to complete your festival look.
