It's been a while since I've done a book review, so I’m super excited to share I MODIFY IDEA® with you. It's a new book that I know you will seriously LOVE! How do I know? Because, IKEA® is the starting point for each and every one of the projects in the book, and who doesn't love IKEA®, right?
In this book, you will find 144 pages of full-color instructional projects featuring 50 fun and creative ways to take every day furnishings from IKEA®, and customize them to fit your own style and space! Coauthors Elyse Major and Charlotte Rivers, and a host of contributing makers, share their inspiring do-it-yourself projects that are not only affordable, but unique and stylish as well!

This book shares how to take a simple cream throw to funky and fun in a flash or add instant panache to plain pillows!
Full of organizational ideas and clever furniture hacks, I MODIFY IKEA® brings a wide range of DIY projects to customize your home. The book is divided into three practical categories of interest: Unique Touches, Storage Solutions, and Functional Fun. Each tutorial is clearly laid out and each section is broken down into three skill levels from basic (the beginner with little experience) to advanced (the experienced DIY pro). There are project for all skill levels!
The dual-function project above caught my eye. It's a bathroom storage bench transformed into a rolling cooler and seat and the perfect summer accent piece for a patio. Wouldn't it look great to coordinate the cooler with your patio furniture?! I can't wait to try it! Just for reference, this is an intermediate skill level!
Overall, this is certainly one of those books that I will go back to time and time again for creating and customizing affordable furniture for my home. As I was flipping through the book, I discovered at least ten projects that I wanted to start right away! {smile}
