Last week, I talked about DIY weddings and how more bridal
couples are putting their own touch of creativity to their nuptials.
When I’m attending a wedding, you can usually find me at the
sweets table. I’m not necessarily digging into every sweet dish I come by, but I
am definitely admiring the artistry that goes behind the pastries and treats
catered specifically for a dessert-style buffet.
I came to the realization that these types of treats can be
easily made at home. If you do it yourself, you have the freedom to put any
type of spin on any classic dessert. It also allows you to control your food
budget and portions.
Today, I put together these easy-to-make Oreo Pudding Cups.
When you’re preparing for a wedding, there’s already so much to think about, so
I wanted to put together a recipe that was bake-free, stress-free and
absolutely delicious. I love that these pudding cups do not entail strenuous
work in the kitchen. All it takes are some ready-made (and delicious!) food
items with a touch of love and creativity!
Chocolate Pudding Cups
For two standard-sized stemless wine glasses you will need:
15 Oreo cookies
2 cups chocolate pudding
Whipped cream (approximately one cup’s worth – but it is
easier to use a can to control the swirl on top)
Silver pearl candies for garnishing
Place Oreo cookies in a food processor using the blade
attachment. Crush until you get fine crumbs.
If you purchased instant pudding, prepare according to box’s
directions. Once the pudding is ready, start your layering process: the pudding
goes first then the Oreo crumbs. Repeat for a second layer and top with whipped
cream. Garnish with silver pearl candies. It’s really that easy!
Of course, the portions are all up to you: you may want to
use more Oreo cookies or more pudding depending on personal preference. Also,
don’t forget that you can use shot glasses as an alternative – now that’s some finger food I would love to nibble on!
What’s your favorite part about weddings? The food? The dancing? The romantic ceremonies? Let me know in the comments below!

I think chocolate and custard layered in shot glasses with the silver pearls on top, would be very elegant.
ReplyDeleteOreos in any dessert is always a hit in my house. Thanks for the recipe. I'm going to give this a try for my son's birthday party.
