When my daughter left for college last fall, it was a lot tougher than I thought it would be. I was never the type of mom who cried when my children had their first day of kindergarten or when they graduated from elementary school. Heck, I didn't even cry at their high school graduations! I thought I would, but I was too busy worrying about my daughter making it through her yearbook dedication speech or my son tripping in his new dress shoes that he wasn't accustomed to wearing. But when my baby left the nest...Oh. My. Goodness. It was as if a part of me left with her. I soon realized that I had entered a new phase in my life that I didn't like at all.
As the months went by it did get easier, but I still felt something was missing from my life. Then I discovered a program that changed the way I view my life. If you watch Dr. Phil, you may have heard about it...
Dr. Phil partnered with AARP and Life Reimagined® to create "Become The Best Version of Yourself. A Personal Journey Guided By Dr. Phil." Become the Best Version of Yourself" is a monthly subscription service with free activities to help get you started discovering your authentic self. Dr. Phil uses an interactive program with video tutorials, guided exercises, in-depth questions and more to help define what excites you, what is holding you back and how to remove it, and builds on what you love so you can live a happier and fulfilling life!
When I first began the program, I thought it was an inspirational self-help type program and was pleasantly surprised to find that it is so much more than that! In fact, I have learned more about myself in that last few weeks than I ever could have imagined! The questions and exercises in the program delve deep into my past.
In the exercise above, I noted my defining moments from as early as I can remember through today. At first I had trouble thinking back to my childhood, but Dr. Phil gave examples from his personal life that helped me remember mine. After following the program for only a few weeks, I can already see pitfalls that are holding me back in life. That is why it is important to utilize the tools available and learn from your history and move forward. I set daily goals for myself and the personalized tools guide me every step of the way. I love the new sense of well-being and happiness I have felt over the last few weeks. Even hubby has noticed a difference in my personality and said I'm more confident and composed.
If you are ready to be the best "YOU" right now, I have wonderful news! Dr. Phil and Life Reimagined® are offering a 14-day FREE TRIAL of Become the Best Version of Yourself. I'm SUPER EXCITED that you can have the chance to try Dr. Phil's life-changing program too! It's time to reclaim your life and live it to the fullest! You can do it with Dr. Phil's help! You'll see!
Be sure to come back and share your experience. I would love to hear from the new, best you! :)

When my kids went to college, I tried to hold back the tears until I was driving away from campus. I do believe I cried all the way home. :) This sounds like a great way to become the best you can be. Dr. Phil has so many practical tips. I'll have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Alli. I used to hear mom's talking about how hard it was to send their kids off to college and thought I would be different. Ha! It sure was hard. I cried too! Thankfully, it gets easier! :) Enjoy the rest of your weekend! nancy
DeleteI need to check this program out. When my kids left for college I had time on my hands and I didn't like it one bit. Now they are married and I still have time on my hands that I want to fill. Thank you for making me aware of this program, it just might turn out to be my saving grace.
ReplyDeleteHi Terri,
DeleteIt sounds like the perfect time for this program. Hope you enjoy the free trial!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

ReplyDeleteThe most defining moment for me was when I read some of my medical records and it said that I might need a heart transplant in the future. I thought, no way, not going to happen (my kids were 7, 6, and 5). I did everything I could to improve my "numbers" and so far so good.
ReplyDeleteWow! That is definitely a defining moment. I'm so glad you took charge and became proactive. So scary, especially when the children were so young.
DeleteGlad all is well now.
Enjoy your weekend! :)

I love Dr. Phil, although I hardly get to catch him on TV. Self help and philosophy has always been my favorite reads and anything to help with inner healing and knowing yourself is a big plus.
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny, Dr. Phil is on in the late afternoon in my state and it is a busy time of the day at our house too. He's amazing though. The Become the Best Version of Yourself program is much more than I thought it would be.
DeleteHave a great weekend! nancy

ReplyDeleteThis program looks really effective by the way you say it. I have recently joined a life purpose workshop and it led me to knowing myself deeper. But I feel that this program will introduce me more to my inner self. I'm definitely signin up for the free trial.
ReplyDeleteI hope you like it, Louise. There are times when you may be hesitant to delve deeper into your feelings. It's really kind of neat and I felt better after I faced these feelings of fear.
