My sister and I decided to take a ride to Aurora Farms Premium Factory Outlet last Saturday, to find a birthday gift for her mother-in-law who just turned 80 years old! While strolling in and out of store to store, I couldn't help but notice a stunning blue hue showing up in many of the stores we visited. It was serenity blue, which is one of Pantone's Colors of the Year.
For the first time ever, Pantone had announced two colors as its color of the year. Rose quartz is the other chosen shade and the two complement each other and look absolutely stunning together!
As soon as my sister and I walked into the COACH store, we were immediately obsessed with the serenity-colored bags displayed on the shelves in a variety of shapes and sizes! We were so impressed with the color, that my sister ended up purchasing a COACH handbag and scarf for her mother-in-law in the gorgeous blue hue! As we continued our window shopping and went into various stores, it was clear that serenity is a hot spring color! Days later, I'm still thinking of going back to the COACH Outlet and purchasing a bag in the serenity color for myself!
Weightless and airy, like the expanse of the blue sky, this transcendent blue is quickly becoming a favorite to beauty gurus, fashionistas and interior designers alike, and will undoubtedly make its tranquil mark on spring! Designers like Emilio Sosa, Rachel Pally and Harbison are obviously hooked on the serenity hue, and the color is being seen on fashion runways from New York to London.
I am loving the serene wedding look below:
“With our hectic lives and the frenzy around us, there is an increasing demand for tranquility,” says Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone Color Institute’s executive director.

I could see myself with a werenity handbag, but the color wouldn't work with my home decor.
