FASHION MUST HAVES!
Whether you are planning a spring break vacation or a sunny summer getaway, you will want to make sure you take along the warm weather must haves shown below! While the items are all necessities for spring breakers, they will also keep you looking stylish from head to toe!
The secret to packing light is to keep versatility in mind. Will those sandals take you day to night? If not, take them off your list. Unless, of course, they are your favorite flexible flip flops that take next to no space at all.
There's also no need for more than one handbag. Take along a bag that will serve as your evening bag, travel tote, beach bag and shopping bag. See the gold tote bag? Unless you are going on a cruise or to a very fancy restaurant, most places will have resort casual attire and a pretty tote will work fine.
Wear a comfortable swimsuit. I recently reviewed a Magicsuit Swimsuit by Miraclesuit and I can't get over how well it fits and flatters my figure. See my review here. There is also a Miraclesuit giveaway ending 3/2, here. I seriously can't wait to wear my swimsuit this summer. It is that comfy!
BEAUTY MUST HAVES!
First and foremost, do not forget sunscreen. #1 on your list of beauty essentials! Not only will it cost a fortune at a resort, but if you are out of the country, you won't know (in most cases) if the sunscreen has expired.
Add a pair of tweezers to your list. After travelling to Mexico 7-8 times, we've had two separate trips where my hubby and my daughter each had splinters. Trying to communicate in Spanish that we needed a pair of tweezers for a splinter was a difficult process. Trust me, it's easier to pack it! {smile}
Use makeup that will go the extra mile for you when on vacation. LORAC's Pro to Go Eye/Cheek has six eyeshadows, a bronzer, blushes and brushes, all in one. A waterproof mascara will keep you from melting at the beach! It will also keep you safe should a sweet kid decide to show off his/her canonball jump.
Lastly, if you are an avid swimmer, I like PINK's Wet Bikini Bag for a safe place to keep wet bathing suits on your return trip home. ($15)
I HOPE YOU ENJOYED OUR TIPS!

Oh my goodness- I cannot express to you just how excited I got by seeing a bathing suit and sunhat on this roundup! I seriously cannot wait for a week in the Hamptons, wearing that sunhat and reading on the porch looking at the water. Where's the fast forward button? ;) Great roundup, thank you!
ReplyDeleteI want those shoes! They really do take you, as you said, from day to night. I would wear them for the entire vacation and at home.
ReplyDeleteOh my, that Wet Bikini Bag would be perfect! I'm doing a lot of traveling this summer to California and Florida so of course I'll be swimming a lot! I hate having no place to put my swimsuit when I change to go back to the hotel! Seriously, this product is PERFECT <3
ReplyDeleteSunscreen, hats and long dresses would definitely be hot as the warmer weather comes in during spring. This would serve as another layer of protection from the sun.
ReplyDeleteNice post. I love the cover-up, it's so pretty. And I think the wet bikini bag is genius! I sometimes have to use plastic hotel bags to pack wet bathing suits!
ReplyDeleteNo plans for a vacation this year. I would like to take a couple of day trips--maybe row a boat to the middle of a lake and read. I will definitely need sunscreen for that!! I do like that cover up-so pretty. I also love that long black dress. As for a bathing suit--I do need a new one so I will be going to the site you mentioned to see what they have.
ReplyDeleteI love that cover-up! We are headed to St. Maarten in a few months and I'm so ready! I try to pack as light as possible and usually take more sundress/maxi type things that don't wrinkle.
ReplyDeleteI always have to bring extra sunscreen. Sometimes I overestimate how much I have left. I never thought about bringing tweezers but that makes a lot of sense.
ReplyDeleteI definitely need me that hat and the bag, I already have the sunscreen i am just waiting on the sun to make an appearance. Great post.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the sunscreen! I love the long black dress and think it is something that can go from day to night and that is perfect! I had to smile at the Maybelline mascara - it has been my go to mascara for years.
ReplyDeleteWe haven't even thought about our next vacation yet! My daughter is getting married so we may wait to take a vacation for a while.
ReplyDeleteThat wrap is so cute. I might not be going on vacation, but my apartment complex has some great pools and that would be great to wear while lounging around!

ReplyDeleteI really like the black maxi dress & the colorful cover up. I wish I was going somewhere with Spring Break weather, it's freezing here in MI.
ReplyDeleteGreat lists! Although we're big travelers, spring break is when we stay home because of the gorgeous weather in Austin at that time. These are all must-haves for this area though!
ReplyDeletethe shoes are nice.and i like the bathing suit.and i love the cover up.its really pretty
ReplyDeleteWe haven't been on a vacation in so long. I really haven't thought about it much.
ReplyDeleteI justmlove this whole outfit. Especially the hat and coverup. It is so my style!
ReplyDeleteThanks so very much on the Terrific Review on Spring Break Must Haves! {Beauty & Fashion}! You are oh so right, Sunscreen is #1! Can't forget that! It's still pretty chilly here in PA and seeing your outfit really hit home to me that summer is somewhere around the corner. We can't afford to do a shore trip or a trip to Mexico or somewhere exotic! We have a motor home and last year was our very first family vacation in something like 10 years! I don't know if we will be able to go in that again this year due to severe financial strain! Plus, there is too many "projects" that NEED to get done here around the house! Our front steps are all falling apart and chipping terribly from this winter! We need to have them fixed before someone gets hurt! Our deck needs much work as well this year! There are a few boards that broke through and need to be replaced! So, this may be an "at home" vacation again this year! I do so love the outfit that you placed together! A hat is also a terrific idea to keep the sun off of your head and your eyes! Thanks so much for sharing your terrific review, the picture of the outfit, and the tips on what to pack on a vacation with all of us! It surely was a good read and the tips were spot on! I truly do appreciate it! Thanks again! Michele :)
ReplyDeleteGreat tips! I think those are great tips for any vacation, not just spring break. I don't really have any plans to go anywhere, but hopefully. :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the outfit options you shared. I especially want the bathing suit, sunhat and shoes.
