When building my home, I knew I wanted plenty of natural light and never stopped to think of the need for blinds on weekend mornings when I want to sleep in longer. In my search for blinds, I realized many windows in my home are not standard size. Many homes built in the 70s and 80s also feature odd-shaped windows, as that was a
popular home design trend. While an oddly-shaped window can add a lot of charm
to your home, it can also prove very challenging when it comes time to choose a
window treatment. Odd-shaped windows come in all sizes and shapes as they can
be triangular, round, arched or even pencil-like. If you have a few tricky
windows in your house and are wondering how you can cover them so that your
privacy is maintained while blocking out light, consider taking a look at custom interior blinds.
Blinds are Up to the Challenge for those Oddly-Shaped Windows
Custom Window Blinds Are Made Just for You
While manufacturers of window blinds only offer a standard range of products to cover standard-sized windows, a specialty blind retailer will offer custom blinds to its customers with non-standard windows. This type of retailer will tailor make blinds to your exact specifications. Whether your windows are wide, tall, curved or round, a retailer offering custom window blinds have you covered! You can rest assured that your new blinds will fit well, match perfectly and enhance your unique architecture down to every last detail.
Many Materials, Colors and Slat Sizes from Which to Choose
If you think that custom interior blinds for oddly shaped windows only come in one type, think again! Today, you can find custom blinds available in a wide range of materials, colors and slat sizes. Some large home improvement stores even offer on-site blind cutting wherein you can choose from several styles and have your blinds custom-cut to the exact size you need. Then it's up to you to take your blinds home and install them yourself. However, even though this is a nice service to have access to, if you want the best quality and value, find a retailer online or locally that offers custom blinds made to order. This way, the blinds you buy will be professionally made just for you wherein no corners will be cut so to speak in terms of quality.
Remote Control Option for Hard-to-Reach Windows
Because many homes feature oddly-shaped windows that are located in hard-to-reach areas, specialty retailers offering custom blinds also offer remote control systems that make it super easy and efficient to open and close your blinds. With just a touch of a button, you can operate your blinds with complete ease. It is simple, effortless technology right at your fingertips, putting you in complete control of light, shade, privacy and ambiance and all from the comfort of your favorite easy chair!
