The One Perfecting Brush!
If you are looking to simplify your beauty routine and reduce the number of brushes you use, then you will LOVE The One Perfecting Brush. It is an innovative brush that replaces your foundation brush, powder brush, contour brush, bronzer brush, stipple brush, blush brush, fan brush, concealer brush (see my comment below), kabuki and sponge. That's right. It's like ten brushes in one! This soft, non-porous goat hair brush can be used with liquids, cremes, and powders. Beauty products sit on top of the bristles so a little makeup will go a long way. Unlike sponges that absorb and waste products.
Let me tell you, the size and shape of this brush are unlike any other brush I've seen. It is a large, 3.5" horizontal brush, designed in such a way that is easy to hold. The goat hair bristles are soft and effortlessly blend my foundation and blush onto my face. I did not find the brush effective to use with my concealer, however. I need to have my eyes open when applying my concealer and I could not place the brush close to my eyes without having them closed.
I start my makeup routine by using the entire brush to apply my liquid foundation. Because the brush size is large and the foundation sits on the tips of the bristles, I can cover a large area in half the time. Next I add contour blush to one end of the brush and apply, following up with a lighter blush on the entire cheek and then blend. Flawless makeup. (Note: I read that it is not necessary to wipe the bristles in between product applications, but I did anyway. I had better results when I wiped the bristles).
While the brush sure isn't budget-friendly at $49, it does take the place of several brushes, which in my opinion makes it worth it. I feel in the long run it will save me money. Also, travelers will appreciate needing only one cosmetic brush in their overnight bag.
Overall, I LOVE The One Perfecting Brush by Becca. It has made my morning beauty routine faster and easier, and is a good, high quality brush. As mentioned earlier in the post, the only difficulty I had was trying to use the brush as a concealer brush.

$49 is a lot to spend on a single item, but if it's replacing several other brushes then that's not bad at all! I have a few brushes that were $20 by themselves!
ReplyDeleteThat looks really efficient for when one has minimal time to get ready, and great for traveling needing to only pack one brush instead of half a dozen. I have never thought of putting on liquid foundation with a brush before, I've always used a sponge - I'll have to try that!
ReplyDeleteI love beauty products that do more than one thing!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a winner! Love multi-tasking items!!!
ReplyDeleteIt does sound pricey at first but if it replaces several items, provides flawless coverage and lasts for a long time, it sounds like it is worth it.
ReplyDeleteOoh this looks fabulous! I love trying out new makeup brushes. I like the unique shape and size of this one, thanks for sharing.. will have to check it out!
ReplyDeleteIf the brush really does the job of several, I'd think $49 was a reasonable price. Thanks for your review, it made me want to learn more about this brush. I would love to cut down on clutter in my makeup box(es)!

ReplyDeleteHaving one brush to replace so many others would definitely cut down on my bathroom vanity clutter. Thanks for sharing your tip about wiping the bristles!
ReplyDeleteRight now I have a ton of brushes so replacing them with only one would be great.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like an awesome brush! I love that it is multi-purpose and so compact.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of only having to travel with one brush. My make up kit gets so full while traveling.
