ReplyDeleteMy favorite ornament is a crystal Hershey's kiss ornament my son got for me when I was going thru a Hershey's kiss phase (as I do every year or so lol).

ReplyDeleteI luv my Angel that is the topper for my tree. I lost my mom 21yrs ago and when we bought it we put the solid bulb in it so it wouldn't blink, we had a hard time getting it to light and the next thing we noticed my Angel started blinking, it was like my mom was saying she was there.

My favorite is every year we buy one new ornimante a year to represent either what we've done that year or accomplished and then when we add it to the tree we say what for us it represents and I'm good with pickle orniments we got one that it could go with them. :)

ReplyDeleteOne ornament that means A LOT to me is a personalized ornament that sort of looks like me and my twin sister. It was our first ornament that will hopefully become part a huge collection. It has our names and the year. Every year, we plan on getting personalized ornaments that symbolize twins and when we go off to our own lives, she will take 1/2 of the collection and I will get 1/2 of it. So that wherever we are on Christmas and we can't be together, we will know that we still love each other.

ReplyDeleteI couldn't pick just one! When my mom died I got all her Christmas ornaments. She had quite a collection! Decorating my tree each year is like a walk down memory lane. The ornament I bought for her at Macy's on Fifth Avenue. Ornaments her students gave her during her teaching career. Ornaments from my childhood. Favorites of hers. They're all special.

My son's is a blue and white Precious Moments stocking with all his birth info on it, and my daughter's is a ceramic pink crown with jewels and all her birth info on it. I just love both of them because of their meanings. The kids love to get out their special ornament every year and put it on the tree. We need a new tree so bad, and this would be great to win! I have a little angel ornament that my mom gave me that is special to me. She said the angel reminded her of me when she bought it. Now that she's passed away the angel reminds me of her every year when I hang it on our tree.
