The worst present I ever got was a skirt from my aunt that was quite obviously 2 sizes too small, and the price tag showed that it was on sale for $3. I've never worn it, and now my aunt just gives cards with $5. She obviously puts no thought into her gifts, but cries when other family members don't give her the presents she wants.

ReplyDeleteShe didn't mean to do it, but my mom gave me a silver charm for my charm bracelet that was supposed to be an angel and when I opened it and looked real close at it, it was actually a devil with horns and wings. I think that's the year my mom got her glasses. I still laugh about it every time I think about it now.

A long sleeved red flannel night gown and sleep hat thingie (a la "Little House on the Prairie)that my grandma made....oh, that's not the bad part....she didn't wash the flannel first and of course they were hot as h#ll, by the time we got up I was a very rosey shade of red where the dye had bled off on my skin....oh did I fail to mention, she made pj's for my brother and two neices too, we all matched, literally and figuratively....

omg the worst gift i ever got was when i was younger every year my grandma would buy me clothes and they were...well... UGLY lol and after about 4 years of her always buying me these really ugly clothes that didnt fit right my parents finally spoke up and said, " maybe try getting her something other then clothes (and instead of coming right out and saying cause they are ugly my mom said..) cause you know kids they grow so fast and by the time she goes to wear them she already grew and they no longer fit" lol i remember this like it was yesterday!
